Mother, Daughter Grrrr

I was watching Audrina last night and I saw the heated, very intense arguments going down with Audrina's sister and her mom.  Their relationship is crazy, but I don't think it is too far from the relationship a lot of moms and daughters have with each other.  They just could not get along, or see eye to eye on anything, and everything one did hurt the other.  Keeping the kids away from their grandma is a painful and mean thing Audrina's sister is doing, but her mom says some pretty hurtful things and I can see why she is so on edge around her mom.  I really don't like the way Audrina's mom kept blaming Casey's husband for their horrible relationship.  From what I can see, he seems to be very supportive of her.  I think Casey's husband and her mom need to get along with each other and that might break a lot of the tension and help Casey and her mom get along better though.  It is so sad to see this, and it is even more sad to me, knowing that I have seen this kind of relationship over andover in families.  The cycle has to stop with someone or they will just continue to hurt one another and be hurt by one another.

The Biggest Loser tonigh

The countdown to the finale of The Biggest Loser continues tonight on ABC at 8:00pm (7:00 Central)! Don't miss it! We are almost down to the final four! Personally, I hope that Irene is the winner, becuase she always works so hard, and has never once gotten caught up in the whole "game playing" aspect of the game. She has such a good heart ( not that the others don't).  I thought is was so cool how she is going to give her mom the brand new Mazda 5 that she won! She is such a sweetheart and she looks fabulous already!  I can't wait to watch tonight, and you definitely don't want to miss!

Kids having kids

Lately My heart has been just aching at one of the shows on MTV called "16 and Pregnant".  It is so sad to see so many young lives being ruined by the choices they make and the way they were raised.  So many young people, now are growing up with more pressure than before, and the moral and ethical decisions being made are just so unhealthy.  Never before have there been so many teenage pregnancies, so many children who don't get to grow up, and enjoy and learn in their childhood.  And this in turn, will affect the generations to come.  I just don't understand where the parents are, and how they could be allowing this to happened.  It is not always the fault of a parent when their daughter gets pregnant ( or their son gets a woman pregnant), but a lot of times it is a result of neglect and poor parenting.  One of the girls from the show 16 and pregnant said that she got pregnant on purpose just to get on the show! It is so sad:( we need to talk to our young women, and instill self esteem, and values and show them that they can make something of themselves and eventually in the future find a truly safe and loving relationship  and have healthy children...after they are done being children

Osama....

Perhaps the biggest news story to hit the nation in the last year (besides the royal wedding) is the death of Osama Bin Laden, and the fact that he was killed by American troops during a mission! It is so crazy to see how the death of one person can unify, strengthen, encourage and uplift an entire nation.  I think Obama stood for something: he stood for fear, intimidation, a divided nation, pain and suffering.  His death means the triumph of good vs. evil, and a chance for a new beginning for so many people.  I would like to think of myself as a good person who would never wish death upon anyone.... but that son of a b**** totally deserved it.  He hurt so many people, and felt no remorse.  He had some serious issues and no one could save him from himself.  So many people were killed at his hands, and at his cause.  to know that he is dead is a relief, and most of all, it is life to so many.
