A Royal Wedding of a Lifetime

I finally got a chance to tune in to see the royal wedding, and it was amazing! I thought Catherine Middleton looked truly beautiful, and her dress...was seriously jaw dropping.  The whole granduer of the wedding was so captivating, and i loved that this woman really did get to meet and marry her prince charming.  It is hard to believe how much history and for lack of better words, royalty could be tied to one single wedding.  Their family has so much importance within their country, and it is hard to imagine being in Kate's shoes.  To have to take up the honor of being held in such high esteem, and having her life be so public, not to mention, committing to possibly be the future queen of the entire country of England!  Prince William, also looked incredibly hot, in his suit for the wedding.  It was such a beautiful occasion, and I send my blessings to the royal family!

Your Marrying Who?

I would be lying if I said I never fell into the Laguna Beach, The Hills hype.  I loved those shows, mostly because I loved making fun of the people in those shows and also because I have been curious about those who live such lavish lifestyles.  It gave me a glimpse into the glitz and glamour I always dreamed I someday would have.  One of the people who I really couldn't stand the most has been Kristin Cavalari.  She has always been just a mean, two faced, prissy person in my opinion, very catty and "mean girl" like.  She has always been seen as such a player to me as well, and I never really thought she would be ready to actually want to commit to a man and quite playing games.  So naturally, I was surprised when she announced her engagement to NFL quarterback Jay Cutler yesterday! She is pretty, very pretty, but I guess it is totally lost on me, why a guy would want to make her his wife? On KIIS FM the other day Ryan Seacrest was talking about celebrities who are "date-able" vs "Mate-able"...I definitely put her in the "date-able" category.  However, as surprised as I am, I will have to believe in the best, and maybe she has grown up and all will be well...

We want to stream!

My boyfriend and are total movie buffs.  We love to go to the movies, we love to sit at home and search for movies on Netflix.  However, the more we use Netflix, the more disappointed we are with the number of movies that you can stream online! It seams like even hulu has so much more than they do for streaming.  The idea of having to wait for a dvd in the mail, is so annoying, that my boyfriend was tempted to just drop the subscription.  So, he called Netflix customer service to tell them about the frustration we have been having. The cool thing though, is that they said they are hoping to switch to all streaming only on Netflix!!!  That is going to be amazing because it means we will literally be able to stream anything that we want to watch, whenever we ant to watch it! The question is...how much is this going to cost?

Ok...advertising and marketing have gone way to far in the last few years.  I understand the need for commercials during television, and how companies need to market their products and yada, yada, yada.  But advertising is getting in the way of everything now.  Online, you can't watch a single television show, or play a single game without seeing an advertisement! Even Pandora has advertising every 10 minutes.  It is just getting ridiculous! Marketing is happening in the middle of television shows and it is so blatant! Watching The Biggest Loser, it is so apparent that Subway and Yoplait probably pays them so much money to pretend that they are so excited about their product just to get people at home to buy it! It looks so fake.  Same thing with Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory aka DC Shoes/ Monster commercial! It is seriously driving me nuts! Even on iphone apps there is constant advertising every time you load certain apps.  You tube, has been taken over by ads as well.  Pretty soon, they will be all over Netflix, in the middle of Blu Rays, and on Google every time you search something.  How in       the world, can this be stopped!  There has to be something that can be done...or I am gonna go nuts!!!

New Episode of Cougar Town Tonite!!!

I thought it was cool how they showed the way that everyone wakes up and who is and isn't a morning person!  I love it when Grayson hits on himself in front of the mirror....and even funnier when he ditched when Jules got Stan from Lori.  Grayson is funny, in kind of a weird quirky way, sort of like Travis (waking up with on the floor with his arms around the laundry basket..perfect example, what a dork Trav!).
They hardly ever show stan on the show and I always wondered when they were going to include him.  Speaking of dork...I can't believe andy was supposed to be the "wingman".  Tomorrow, I will post some of the quotes from this weeks episode!

Let's not forget the Classiscs

Right now I am watching The Little Mermaid.  I can not believe how much I have missed it.  Growing up, I watched almost nothing but Disney movies, and I can not help but think that the movies that are coming out now (even the Disney ones) do not even compare to the ones I watched as a kid...maybe that means I am getting old EEK!!! It is true though, a whole generation of people grew up with these characters, with Ariel, Belle, Peter Pan,Snow White, Simba, Aladdin, and Cinderella.  I am determined to make sure that the classics are never forgotten, because they are the best of the best!  People like to make all sorts of hidden agendas, and pervert disney by pointing out ridiculous things, but overall, we know that without Disney, Childhood would have sucked!  That being said, Disney does have way too much power I think.  They own too much, and the prices at Disneyland are throw up worthy.  I mean, a sandwich there costs about 100 15 bucks! I suppose they can get away with what people are willing to pay...even I am sometimes...I don't get how they do it?
